Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Lisa Marinacci grew up performing with the Civic Light Opera, Don Brockett Productions, and guitarist Joe Negri. Before earning both her BHA and MA from CMU, she won a CLO Gene Kelly Award. After college, Lisa co-produced a CD of jazz standards titled "Waiting for Spring" with Joe Negri. Lisa was also the lead singer and songwriter of Bliss Bomb, a 10-piece retro-inspired band. They released their CD "Fever Dream" in 2012. She currently teaches voice and musical theater at The Center for Theater Arts. Of all her many gigs, her favorite by far is being a Mom to her son and daughter.
Charlie Falbo has been playing with his dad ever since he started guitar at the age of six. His early studies centered around baroque and classical compositions before transitioning to jazz in high school. Charlie took part in Duquesne University's Jazz Workshop where he studied with Marty Ashby. At the University of Pittsburgh, Charlie minored in music while performing in multiple small and large ensembles. His instructors at Pitt were Joe Negri and Mark Strickland. Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, and Graham Dechter are a few of Charlie’s guitar heroes.
Ralph Falbo is a classical and jazz pianist who studied with Bobby Cardillo and David Budway while growing up in Pittsburgh. In high school, he was accepted into summer jazz programs at the Eastman School of Music and the University of Pittsburgh where he was mentored by Harry Connick Jr and Emily Remler. Ralph holds a BA in music from the University of Notre Dame and received its annual Big Band award as a senior. More recently, Ralph has composed a number of pieces (many of which Lisa has written lyrics for) that the trio performs regularly. Favorite performers include Ray Brown, Christian McBride, Benny Green, and Gene Harris.
